As I move forward with the goal of earning a degree in Investigative Journalism, I am greatly interested in learning more about social documentary photography and maturing my creativity in a way that invokes change and allows me to make a difference in my community and the world.
* I won first place in a statewide competition for a Public Service Announcement, PSA, film (Florida Virtual School); first place in-library for a bookmark design and third place county-wide for a poem (Miami-Dade County Public Library System); and various special awards, first/second/third places and an honarable mention for photography, sewing, crochet , poetry and painting (Miami-Dade County Youth Fair & Expo).

A Sneak Peek: Documentary
This video snippet is from a documentary, due for completion this summer, that takes a look at life and times of those buried in a family graveyard. "Chapter: World War II" includes research, direction, camera work, compilation and editing by myself, as well as vintage footage and photographs.
